It has come to our attention that there are a number of repair houses claiming that they have the capability of calibrating CAT3 to manufacturers’ specifications. We wish to make our customers aware that CAT3 can only be calibrated or have its calibration verified on a purpose built ITCC Calibration rig, manufactured by Radiodetection Ltd. UDE Ltd are the only authorised service centre in the Republic of Ireland for Radiodetection equipment and are the only service centre in the Republic which have this purpose built test rig.
We have found quite recently a number of units with calibration labels from unauthorised repair houses, showing calibration within the last 12 months. However when these units were checked we have in fact found that the calibrations were out of date, and in some cases by a number of years. CAT3 stores the last calibration verification information to the pcb.
Please note the only way to calibrate or evaluate CAT3 is with the purpose built test rig.
