We provide operator training courses for the full range of radiodetection locating equipment and all courses are designed around the HSA code of practise– avoiding danger from underground services. We are also FAS registered and provide CSCS training in "Location of Underground Services"
Construction Regulations require that certain construction workers carrying out safety critical tasks must complete CSCS training.
CSCS Location of Underground Services course is 2 full days and the maximum number of attendees is 8. Candidates who successfully complete the approved CSCS Training & Assessment programme are awarded FETAC certification and are eligible for a CSCS registration Card.
Locator specific operator training courses are both half-day and full-day duration. Half-day is a three hour course and full-day is a six hour course. Maximum number of attendees is 10 for the operators courses. A Certificate is awarded at the discretion of our training officer for those candidates who successfully complete the operators course.
A typical programme for a half- day course would be:
* Reasons for using locators – both safety and financial. * Theory, covering both the benefits of the system, and as important, the limitations of the technology. * Video – alive or dead – by the HSE * Practical work – hands-on locating using receiver, transmitter, and accessories. * Feedback, questions/answers, application & techniques, general care and maintenance of the equipment.
Training is carried out either at your site or on our public courses on a date that is convenient for you !
